Mr. Tyler Howard is a Baltimore based middle market commercial banker at Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T).  Prior to joining BB&T in 2017, Mr. Howard spent 11 years in the United States Marine Corps.  He served as a Rifle Platoon Commander, Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Mission Commander, UAS Detachment OIC, and Intelligence Staff Officer.  His overseas assignments included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.  Shortly after his promotion to Major, Mr. Howard wrapped up his final tour at Fort Meade, MD and retired from active military service.  He transitioned to a career in finance and now serves as a BB&T lender and strategic business advisor for a large set of privately held businesses and nonprofit organizations.  He received his BA from Salisbury University and Master of Business Administration from Virginia Tech.
